8/27/14 NEAR the SEAL BEACH PIER + biblical inspiration

SEAL BEACH, CA,

AUGUST 27, 2014...waves were bigger here than at sunset beach...also flooding...and the pier was closed half-way

WELCOME! I WILL BE posting some photos from the infamous "Wedge" at Newport Beach taken after Hurricane Maria hit Mexico, causing big waves in southern California. The Wedge is a small section of newport beach near the harbor channel where waves are extremely large at RARE times after storms such as this hurricane. I am not a local but I've heard they haven't been this big at the wedge for many years (some say they are "near record" waves...

up to 25 feet, depending who you talk to ...)
